Arquitectura Sonora

Arquitectura Sonora is an immersive audio installation presented as part of the 20th anniversary of the MutekMX Festival.

Curated by Christopher Manhey and produced by Omni Soundlab, this experience explored the intersection of sound, space, and the audience's inherent interaction, offering a moment of introspection amidst powerful performances by artists such as Alva Noto, Daito Manabe, and Boris Acket.

Through expanded composition techniques, elements of acoustic ecology, chamber music, electronic, and electroacoustic music were integrated, giving rise to sound structures that weave harmonies, resonances, and rhythms within a spherical coordinate system.

Each 30-minute session, set in a dimly lit atmosphere, immersed the audience in deep listening, intertwining concepts of acoustic ecology, chamber music, electronic, and electroacoustic styles, showcasing harmonies, resonances, and rhythms within a spherical coordinate framework.
