On January 24, 2026, at 8:30 PM, Sound Architecture will be presented, an immersive collective listening experience with creative direction by Christopher Manhey and produced by Omni Soundlab, designed to explore the relationship between sound, space, and perception. The work will unfold in the Basilica of Lourdes in Quinta Normal, integrating music, heritage, and architecture.

The work to be presented will be Tabula Rasa by composer Arvo Pärt, a central figure in contemporary sacred music. His work is deeply marked by faith and spirituality, understanding music as an act of cohesion and introspection.

The music will be played through a VOID Acoustics x The Loft Academy immersive audio system integrated into the space as an extension of the architecture and arranged around the audience to dissolve the traditional frontality.

Its arrangement in the temple constructs a sound field that allows each musical gesture of the work to propagate, remain, and finally fade away, revealing the natural resonance of the building and its monumental scale.

As invited artists, Delight Lab will develop a luminous gesture that will generate atmospheres of light, which will travel through the space, revealing textures and accompanying the transition from dusk to night, establishing a subtle dialogue with the architecture, the stained glass windows—which unfold over 650 square meters—and the monumental sculptures of Lily Garafulic, including the 16 prophets of 3.5 meters in height carved in stone that guard the temple.

In order to preserve the solemnity of the temple and the attention to this artistic display, the audience will be invited to not use mobile phones during the experience. As a souvenir, the photographic record will be made exclusively by the event production and subsequently shared with all attendees via email.

On this occasion, the listening session takes the form of a sonic liturgy, a contemporary ritual where music guides and architecture acts as a resonant body. The experience invites you to enter a state of contemplation, where each sound becomes a signal, each silence a ceremonial pause, and each gesture of light an element that accompanies and deepens the listening.

This cultural and heritage intervention proposes to rediscover the Basilica from stillness, sensitivity, and mindfulness. A moment in which music, light, and space are articulated in a collective gesture, returning to the arts their deepest and most spiritual dimension.
